Breakwater Beach

Breakwater is a pebble beach with lots of jumps, drop-offs and trials. There are drop-offs everywhere you look all along the breakwater. There is a tourist attracton with the beach but if you come late enough you will miss the grockles! There is one big jump at the end of the cafe area which is highly reccommened by Ryan Allen. He also advises me to tell you the little beginner jump near the Beach Hut is off limits. Due to the fact the his pedals got lodged into his shin last summer! Needing five stitches and a bloody massive scar. Should have been wearing shin guards Ryan!

Rating:7/10

Churston Woods

Churston Woods is a wooded area with loads of trials. The main attraction is 'Triple' which is made up of 3 parts. Hence the name! At the start there is a drop-off which goes into a steep downhill section. Then it goes into a mini jump. Due to a fallen tree the exit is block. It happened during the heavy wind in Brixham a month ago. Salmon found this whilst riding down it. With minor brakes he rode straight into it. Just to tell all the Salmon Fans he is fine! The lads made a pack at the top of the woods, to the nature reserves discussed. These are a must ride for any mountain biker.

Battery (Batty) Gardens

Baty is a small grassed and wooded area. It is a perfect place for beginners and mountain bikers who want to pratice there jumping skills or trails. The main jump is one of Jamie Greenwoods favourites because of the outstanding pace you get riding up to it. There are a few trails including Shortcut slope which in the photos Jamie bailed on! The jump which is on top of the war barack is the hardest dirt jump you will ever do. I had a go! I was half way up, with the blood pumping, and my front brake had a twig in it. I tried stopping and standing still (worst thing to do(!)). Before i new it the bike was on top of my and my leg jammed in between my back sus and the seat post.

Better leave it to the pros!
